IC37 Media Gallery: 2019 NYYC 175th Anniversary Regatta Photos
Melges IC37 sailors reconvened in Newport, R.I. for a week of celebration, good-fellowship, and racing at the New York Yacht Club 175th Anniversary Regatta from July 14th – 20th, 2019.
The week-long event featured five days of racing, a lay-day midweek, social events each night, and the largest fleet of IC37’s by Melges that the Class has ever had on the same starting line.
True to its claim as the most level playing field available, the fleet of 21 IC37’s by Melges targeted the sailors’ skill, preparation and most of all their teamwork all week as the formula for success.

LAY DAY
Wonder what the Melges IC37 sailors were up to on their lay-day? Never straying far from the water, this fleet full of friends and family ventured to many of Rhode Island’s best costal attractions.
Teams enjoyed each other’s company while fishing on the Rhode Island Sound, sailing on Narragansett Bay, swimming in Jamestown, and some even motored over to Block Island.
