The event’s final day was sailed in Newport’s perfect summer conditions: sunshine and sea breeze. Rougarou37, helmed by Andy Lovell, ultimately won the regatta with Qubit 15 points behind in second place.
After five days and 10 races, podium positions are still up for grabs in the Melges IC37 Fleet.
Teams Qubit and Foreign Affair take over the leaderboard after mastering consistency and fleet management on the race course.
Melges IC37 style teamwork was featured in full today as crews strived for consistency in variable conditions. Christopher Culver and the Blazer team managed to hang on to their overall lead, but it was Phil Lotz and his crew onboard Arethusa who won the day.
